Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda BD Trip

Coatis & raccoons living in the area near the beach have very little resources, starving, sick & sad. No food allowed outside of the restaurants, no snackbar, but a beercart around the main pool.
Resort was okay, kind of boring evenings. Many children screaming around. Dangerous loungers around the pool & not enough shaded areas, too many closed.
Food was average with the sporadic delicious entree. Lost a day/night being sick from the pickled onion eaten out of a jar at the salad bar in the Italian restaurant. Very uncomfortable seating at the Japanese restaurant which doubled as another unremarkable restaurant on alternate days. Black & white 24 hour bartenders quite unwelcoming and unhelpful, kind of common throughout the resort excepting the "quiet pool/restaurant". Mexican restaurant very friendly.
Snorkeling rather nonexistent, Trois Rivieres nearby very cold & dangerous undertow to get across the ocean to them.
